Press Release: Protest Today in Support of Palestinians and in
Opposition to Latest Massacre

Groups (see below) horrified by the continuing slaughter of Palestinians in Gaza are planning a peaceful protest today 5/14 starting at 3:30 p.m. Stanley Heller Executive Director of the Middle East Crisis Committee said, "Reports are that Israeli troops killed 40 people just today. These Palestinians are people from Gaza fed up with 70 years of ethnic cleansing and siege who are taking direct action to break out of the Gaza Ghetto and to return to the homes of their families. Many are being shot with Sturm Ruger guns made right here in Connecticut. We are also appalled that the U.S. embassy is being moved to Jerusalem. It's a message that the Trump Administration believes that Palestinians have no human or national rights. It rubs salt into the wounds of that oppressed nation.

We begin at the Federal Building, 145 Church St., New Haven at 3:30 p.m. and march (on the sidewalk) to Congresswoman DeLauro's (59 Elm St.) office at 4:30 p.m.
