Video: Tell Congresswoman DeLauro Off on Palestine

Followers of Cult of Israel Try to Disrupt

Peace groups around the state of Connecticut are holding a demonstration in front of Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro’s Office on Wednesday August 13, 2014 located at 59 Elm St, New Haven, CT (the corner of Orange St). The rally will be held from 4:30 – 6:00 pm.

Demonstrators will be gathering to demand an end to US aid to Israel and to condemn the active American support for the continued siege, blockade and occupation of Palestine. We demand of our representatives to stop enabling Israeli war crimes.

Member of Congress DeLauro not only voted for the July 11 "green light" resolution to totally support Israel's attack on Gaza. She was the only CT member of Congress to go further and co-sponsor a July 30 resolution saying that "Hamas was using human shields". She's using her high office to excuse the horrific killing by Israeli forces of Palestinian civilians.

Stanley Heller, Executive Director of the Middle East Crisis Committee, said, "Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro not only voted for the July 11 'green light' resolution to totally support Israel's attack on Gaza, she was the only CT member of Congress to co-sponsor a July 30 resolution saying that Hamas was using human shields. She's using her high office to excuse the horrific killing by Israeli forces of Palestinian civilians, probably over 1,500 human beings.”

Adam Antar, from Students for Justice in Palestine UConn said, “The systematic displacement and murder of Palestinians for over 60 years has manifested as the world’s most protracted refugee crisis. It remains a source of international resentment towards the United States. Beyond the moral questions of denying a people equality in the land they were born in, and even denying them the right to life, there is an important reason why Americans should care. The Palestinian issue is a national security issue. As long as the United States supports a government that actively suffocates, attacks and kills people along ethnic lines it will invite unnecessary anti-Americanism.”
